    Stanley- Vasilios P. “Billy” Michelis, age 74, passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. A celebration of life will be held in the spring of 2025. Billy was born on June 21, 1950 in Greece, a son of Pantelis and Ourania Michelis. He served in the Greek Army from 1969 until 1973. After his discharge from the Army, Billy immigrated to the U.S. Billy was employed with IUPAT as a bridge painter. This line of work took him all of NYS to paint bridges.     Penn Yan- Edwin Lee “Ed” Pero, age 70, passed away at home surrounded by family on Saturday, February 1, 2025. Friends may call on Saturday, February 15, from 1-3 p.m. at the Perkins-Ames Funeral Home in Gorham. Memorial contributions in Ed’s name can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Ed was born on August 3, 1954, a son of the late Edwin David and Betty Ann Thompson Pero. He was employed for many years as a machine operator at Mobil Chemical and most recently at Abtex in Dresden.
