Janice Marie Stahl

Geneva- Janice Marie Stahl, age 87, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026 at Geneva General Hospital.

Friends may call on Friday, April 17, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Perkins-Ames Funeral Home in Gorham. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m.. Burial will be in Sandhill Cemetery.

Janice was born on February 25, 1939, a daughter of the late Theodore and Helen (Woodley) Minns. She was employed for many years as an Administrative Assistant for NYS Mental Health in Seneca Falls. Janice was an amazing flower gardener; everything was always perfect. She enjoyed bowling and spending as much time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as she could. She volunteered with the Seneca County office of the aging delivery Meals on Wheels.

Janice is survived by her son, James “Squirrel” (Carol) Stahl; daughter, Dorothy Ricks; grandchildren, Michael (Kendra) Stahl, Matthew (Laura) Stahl, Nathan (Kari) Stahl, Adam (Cortni) Stahl, Audrey (Dan) DeBoover, Derek (Ashley) Ricks, Brittany (Angel) Ricks and Cody (Cathlyn) Stahl; several great-grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Marianne and Rebecca; sisters-in-law, Donna Minns and Linda Minns; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Janice was predeceased by her parents; husband, Ralph; sons, Jerry, Stuart and Jeff Stahl; and her brothers, James Minns, Kenneth Minns and Robert Minns.
