Obituary

Rushville- Judy D. Grover, age 75, passed away at Light Hill Hospice House on Thursday, March 19, 2026.

A celebration of Judy’s life will be held in early summer 2026.

Memorial contributions in Judy’s name can be made to Light Hill Hospice House, 5160 Parrish St. Extension, Canandaigua, NY 14424.

Judy was born the youngest of 10 children on May 16, 1950 to the late George and Eva (Griswold) Campbell. She was a graduate of Marcus Whitman School, class of 1968. On June 23, 1968 she married the love of her life and best friend, Douglas A. Grover. Judy was a hands-on mom, involved in all of her children’s activities including Cub Scouts. She loved being with her children and grandchildren. Judy and Doug enjoyed travelling and going to dinner with friends. She had a great sense of humor.

Judy is survived by her husband of nearly 58 years, Douglas Grover, Sr.; children, Douglas (Lori) Grover, Jr. of Florida, Trevor (Carol) Grover of Canandaigua and Shannon (Craig) Hockenberry of South Carolina; grandchildren, Brandon (Beth) Grover, Rhen (Karla) Grover, Felicia (Bobby) Griffin, Caitlyn (Cody) Payton, Zachary Whiteman and Murphy Hockenberry; six great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Dorothy J. Dobbratz; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Judy was predeceased by her parents and her siblings.

Uncle Doug, I just recently found out about Aunt Judy, Soo, soo sorry for those left behind. I loved Judy deeply; and although we didn’t talk often, enjoyed the times we did, and treasure fond childhood memories.
