Yvonne E. Snyder

Canandaigua- Yvonne E. Snyder died on June 3, 2025 after an extended illness. Her husband Craig and sister Kathy were with her as she passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus. 

Born May 18, 1964, in Geneva, NY, Yvonne E Smith was the daughter of William R and Valeska M Smith. Yvonne grew up in Rushville, NY and graduated in 1982 from Marcus Whitman High School. 

She was highly skilled at drafting and art and inherited her mother’s formidable cooking skills. She held various jobs as a cook, cashier, day care worker, and as a merchandiser of many different products. 

She is survived by husband Craig S Snyder, son Trent L Snyder and his wife Hannah (Barnes) Snyder, grandson Jaxson L Snyder, and granddaughter Charlotte Ann Snyder. Her siblings include brother Glenn D Smith of Rushville, sister Kathy Smith-Soliz, Kathy’s husband Rueben Soliz, and sons Dylan Soliz, Nathaniel Clay, and Joshua Clay. An older brother, Lee W Smith died in 1984. 

Yvonne was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, especially fond of her grandchildren and proud to be a part of their lives. The love for her family was immense; her kindness and concern for others were just several of the attributes that made her an irreplaceable part of her extended family. 

There will be no calling hours, as the family is holding a private service.
