Obituary
Branchport – Tyrone A. “Ty” Phillips, 77, died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017 at his home.
Friends may call Saturday (Dec. 16th) from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Perkins-Ames Funeral Home in Gorham. A Funeral Service will be held Monday (Dec. 18th) at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Number Nine Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105; or to Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Duodenal Cancer Research, Elm & Carlton Streets, Buffalo, NY 14263.
Ty was retired from the Yates County Sheriff’s Department. He was a driver for the Amish and Mennonite Communities. He was the former owner of Phillips Construction, Clifton Springs; and had formerly worked for Hartmann Metal Fabricating in Victor, NY.
Ty was a member of the NRA and the North American Hunting Club. He enjoyed both hunting and fishing.
Ty is survived by his wife, Audrey “Jeanne” Phillips; two sons, Robert (Jeanne Marie) Phillips and Charles (Jean) Phillips ; one daughter, Regina (Ronald) Lewis; two grandsons, Joshua and Kyle; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Glenn (Pat) Phillips of Virginia and Walter (Dolores) Phillips of Phelps; one sister, Bonnie (Bill) Furkin of Clifton Springs; and several nieces and nephews.
