Steven G. Weaver

Geneva- Steven G. Weaver, age 80, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2025.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 11 at 1:00p.m. at Sampson Veterans Cemetery, 6632 NY-96A, Romulus, NY 14541.

Memorial contributions in Steve’s name can be made to Happy Tails, Ontario County Humane Society, 2976 County Rd. 48, Canandaigua, NY 14424 or to, Oaks Corners Fire Department, P.O. Box 54, Oaks Corners, NY 14518.

Steve was born on June 20, 1944, a son of the late Carleton and Geraldine Covert Weaver. Steve honorably served his country in the U.S. Airforce from 1962 until 1966 and then in the reserves until 1968; he was a member of the Phelps American Legion, Post 457 for over 40 years. He was retired from Eaton Corp in Phelps where he was the quality control supervisor. Steve enjoyed hunting, fishing, skeet shooting and trapping. He was a life member of the Buckhorn Sportsman Club and the North Seneca Sportsman Club. Steve also spent time rebuilding old tractors.

Steve is survived by his wife, Sharon A. Gage Weaver; two sisters, Lori (Gerald) Knox and Linda (Kent) Fisher; sisters-in-law, Janice Weaver, Cindy (Bob) Davis and Joyce McNeil; brother-in-law, Gary M. (Dawn) Gage; as well as many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Steve was predeceased by his brothers, David Weaver and Jim (Emily) Weaver and a brother-in-law, Thomas McNeil.
