Obituary
Geneva- Sharon Theresa Jensen Allen, age 78, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023.
Friends may call on Tuesday, (Aug. 29) from 12- 2 p.m. at the Perkins-Ames Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Little Church Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Hall Fire Company P.O. Box 8, Hall, NY 14463; or to Marcus Whitman Central School District, 4100 Baldwin Rd., Rushville, NY 14544.
Sharon was born on February 26, 1945, a daughter of the late Henry and Mary O’Connor Jensen. She was a graduate of Penn Yan Academy. Sharon married the late James F. Allen, Sr. on February 19, 1966.
Sharon worked for Seedway in Hall for 30 years as a seed analyst. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. Sharon enjoyed bowling and playing cards with the Hall Card Club. She made famous Chocolate Chip Cookies and homemade ice cream cakes.
Sharon is survived by two sons, James (Angie) Allen, Jr. and Jeff (Sarah Robson) Allen; eight grandchildren, Julia Senack, Kendra Sharon Allen, Burlin James Allen, Wyatt Thomas Allen, Noah Hildreth, James Pasko, Nicholas Pasko and Gabriel James Allen Pasko; siblings, Michael Jensen, Daniel (Myra) Jensen, Cornelius Charles Jensen, Jens Thomas (Sharon) Jensen, Kathleen Marie (Fred) Best and Dagmar Christine Christensen; brother-in-law, Larry (Mary Ellen) Allen as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins
Sharon was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Jim; oldest brother Henry Jensen Jr., and sisters, Dorothy Jensen and Patricia Alexander; sister-in-law, Thelma Jensen and brother-in-law, Roger (Lillian) Allen.
