Obituary
Canandaigua- Sara Jane Mousso, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at F.F. Thompson Hospital.
At Sara’s request, there will be no calling hours. A private burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association, PO Box 5021 Hagerstown, MD, 21741-5021.
Sara was born to Helen and Raymond Bloss. She was raised and educated in Rochester, NY and moved to Canandaigua with her husband Jack in 1960.
Sara worked at various positions in Rochester and Canandaigua, retiring from the former Mobile Chemical Facility in Canandaigua.
Sara enjoyed designing and building colonial furniture; She was a recognized Finger Lakes artist who studied under Elizabeth Bell and corresponded with Norman Rockwell over their love of art. Sara’s primary love in her life were her children and grandchildren.
Sara is survived by her children, Aaron Morgan of Stanley, Melanie (Aaron) Doughty of Norman, Oklahoma, Jennifer Mousso of Pittsford and Joilette Mousso of Albany; her grandsons, Ethan, Royce and Jesse; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Sara was predeceased by her husband Jack in 1977; beloved son, Justin Jacque Mousso; her mother and father; sister, Lucile Lonkerd and brother, Richard Bloss.
