Obituary
Penn Yan-Sally Ann (Cooper) Peck, on Thursday, March 14, Sally passed away peacefully at Strong Memorial Hospital after a brief illness with her family by her side.
At Sally’s request there will be no calling hours. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family at her beloved Wildlife Acres Preserve.

Sally was born the daughter of Ernest and Lucille Cooper. She grew up in Canandaigua where she met the love of her life, Judson Peck. They were married on February 28, 1959 and enjoyed 62 years of marriage until his death in 2021. They had one son, John.
Sally worked in various occupations throughout her life. She painted boats at Penn Yan Boats and was also a school bus driver for Penn Yan Central School and the Keuka Lake School. She loved her students as if they were her own.
Sally’s passion, however was horses. Her first, Rebel, was a big paint horse. Sally turned her passion into a business, boarding and training horses at their farm on Guyanoga Road in Branchport.
Sally and Jud participated in rodeo and hosted events at their farm. They also competed together in rodeo events throughout New York State and New England. Sally Barrel raced and she and Jud team roped together.
Sally also shared her love of horses with the youth in Yates County. She was a 4-H Horse Club leader for many years.
Sally and Jud enjoyed traveling together. One trip took them to Colorado and back. Most recently, they spent portions of the winter in Florida. Sally also enjoyed yard sales. She spent summers travelling the area, with one of her good friends looking for treasure.
Sally was predeceased by her husband, Jud; parents, Lucille and Ernest Cooper; sisters, Donna Brown and Beverly Blair; and her brother, Ernest Cooper, Jr.
Sally is survived by her son, John (Julie) Peck; grandchildren, Matthew Peck and Melisssa Peck; and her God-Son, Shane Gurnee.
