Robert J. Fish

Gorham- Robert J. Fish, age 81, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2025.

Friends and family may call on Tuesday, June 17, from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Perkins-Ames Funeral Home, 2583 East Main St., Gorham, NY. Private burial will be in Gorham Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions in Bob’s name can be made to Ontario County Humane Society, Happy Tails, 2976 County Rd. 48, Canandaigua, NY 14424.

Bob was born on November 1, 1943, a son of the late Robert A. and Doris Conklin Fish. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army from 1968-1970. Bob was retired from the American Can Company in Geneva.

Bob was a jack of all trades and an excellent carpenter. If you came to him with a project, he would immediately start finding the parts or whatever you needed even if you weren’t quite ready to start the project. He cherished his family above all else; even converting his garage into a home for his mother in her later years. Bob’s lawn and pool was always meticulously cared for. He loved the sun and enjoyed having a pool since 1980. He enjoyed cars especially Corvette’s and convertibles and has always had a motorcycle. Bob liked making music with his ukulele.

Bob is survived by his wife, Roxanne Carson Fish; treasured 4-legged companion, Skyler; his brother, Thomas (Eunice) Fish; nieces, Debbie (Rob) DeMaria, Dana (Steve) Baskin and Kelly (Tim) Smolinski; as well as several great-nieces and nephews.

Bob was predeceased by his parents; a sister, Judy Murray; and fur children, Charlie, Max and Wally.
