Obituary
Myron Lee Spencer, age 87, of Erie, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Myron was born on January 19, 1938, in St. Petersburg, Florida. He served his country in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1959.
Lee graduated from Freedom University in Orange Park, FL. with a degree in Christian education and was ordained in 1966 at Highland Park Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Known to many as Pastor Spencer, his life’s work was devoted to serving his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He faithfully led various churches as a pastor and dedicated his life to ministry. His greatest passion was seeing people come to know the Lord as their Savior and preserving the King James Version of the Bible. At one point, he possessed an original 1611 King James Bible, which he meticulously copied and reproduced with great care and reverence.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth Eileen (Merril) Spencer and Myron Cadwell Spencer.
Myron is survived by his three daughters: Cynthia (Cindy) Beeman, whose children are Esther and Job; Elizabeth (Beth) Douglas, and her husband, Daniel Douglas; and Melissa Hale, and her husband, Justin Hale, whose children are Jonah, Cassie, Ava, and Wesley. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his children and grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.perkinsamesfuneralhome.com.
