Middlesex- Linda Jean Elliott, age 70, passed away at home on Saturday, July 4, 2026.
Services will be announced at a later date.
Memorial contributions in Linda’s name can be made to the Humane Society of Yates County, P.O. Box 12, Penn Yan, NY 14527.
Linda was born on February 6, 1956, a daughter of the late Olin A. and Mildred L. (Ackerson) McCallum. Many will remember her for working at Martin’s Gas Station in Rushville or from the many years she spent providing child care. Linda loved gardening and drawing. She was most happy in the outdoors and riding her 4-wheeler. Linda’s greatest love was for her family. She will always be remembered and admired for her strength and tenacity.
Linda is survived by her children, Erin (Joe Smith) Hacker, Emma (Bill) Merrill and Thomas (Alexandra Granger) Elliott; eight grandchildren, Jayda, Amara, Norah, Delylah, Olivia, Braiden, Bryan and Aiden; one great-grandson, Oliver; a brother, James McCallum as well as nieces and nephews.
Linda was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Thomas Elliott.
