I am so sorry for your loss. Larry was my uncle through marriage (my mom married his brother, Patrick) and my half-brother's uncle through his father. I have fond memories of visiting "Uncle Larry and Aunt Lynn" in the woods where they were building a cottage and they were always 'joking' about everything. I am sorry I did not get to meet Maggie and I haven't seen Ryan since he was very little. Please feel free to contact me or my brother if you need anything or just want to say hello. My heart is with you all. gnatarelli911@gmail.com Bless your hearts.

So sorry for the family’s loss. Particularly enjoyed Larry’s sense of humor. Worked with him at Gorham Elementary, Marcus Whitman School District. Larry forwarded a maintenance request to have a hot tub installed in the school library. To which the principal at the time approved…. The request still hung on the wall in my office long after I was transferred to another building. Still think about it after all these years and get a chuckle from it. Rest in peace Larry, you will be missed.

I was sorry to hear of Larry’s passing. My condolences to his family, for the loss of someone who made each day a bit brighter. I worked with Larry at the Gorham School for many years, and looked forward to my days in that building. There were many pranks played on each other, lighten each day. He was easy to talk with, and always willing to listen and help. He will be missed, but will live on in my memory, with many warm thoughts.

Let it be known that Larry Murray made the world a better place! I graduated HS with Larry in 1967 from Canandaigua Academy when the country was in chaos from the Vietnam War. President Kennedy had been assassinated in 1963 and as teenagers we were just looking for something good, and Larry was that good. Always a kind word for classmates, always a smile and always the practical joker. I am saddened by the news of his passing; but, thankful he is at peace. May our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ hold Larry’s hand and watch over his loved ones.

My kids were very fond of Mr. Murray as the Gorham Elementary School Librarian. So much so that when
students had free time many of them asked for a pass to the library. Always with a smile and time to listen, an educator who became a
friend. About as good as it gets in school for our children. Thank you, Mr. Murray. RIP and our sincerest condolences to your family.

Maggie and family, I’m sorry for your loss. Larry and I became friends at Marcus Whitman HS and although we haven’t been in touch for a while I have many good memories that typically included laughing - even during difficult times. He was a good man.

This is pretty late, and I only recently learned Larry passed today after a random internet search, spurred on by a question from someone I'm mentoring in my field of cyber security that asked some deep questions as to how I got started. Mr. Murray was my librarian from 1990~1994 in Gorham Elementary, and then again in middle school and high school at Marcus Whitman HS. My career started the moment Mr. Murray showed me how to boot an old (even by 1992 standards) IBM x86 system to connect to BBS and communicate with people around the world in 1992. I was hooked. I may have pushed too far on the boundaries of network security in high school, and (possibly) got into some 'minor' trouble... But this initiative, and gentle push into tech lead me to later work Computer Network Defense operations at the Pentagon, and launch multiple successful cyber product companies. His kindness, willingness to share his knowledge, and also penchant for granting me access to the high school library (even after I was banned form touching computers) was nothing short of foundational to my own personal success today. Marcus Whitman wasn't very influential to me in the aggregate, but Larry Murray was. I'm so sorry he is gone. His influence continues to inspire future generations.
