Obituary
Canandaigua- Joan MacMullen Stell, age 88, passed away at her home on Monday, March 4, 2024.
Friends may call on Saturday (March 9) from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Perkins-Ames Funeral Home in Gorham. A memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Gorham Cemetery.

Joan was born on November 1, 1935, a daughter of the late Earl P. and Esther L. Braley MacMullen. She was a graduate of Clifton Springs High School. Joan married the late Frederick H. Stell on Oct. 30, 1954. Joan was an office manager for Norb Thomas Corp. in North Syracuse. She enjoyed square dancing, reading and traveling. Joan was a member of the NYS Grange.
Joan is survived by several nieces and nephews; two brothers-in-law, Richard Stell and William (Etta) Stell; two sisters-in-law, Arlene Stell and Sandy Stell; and her pet cat Rafi.
Joan was predeceased by her parents; husband, Fred on Dec. 9, 2022; brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl L. Stell, Ada Clark, Barbara Davis, Virginia (John) Langmaid, Donald Stell, April (Kenneth) Raner, Jean Stell, Brenda Stell, Ruth Stell and Janet Stell.

Joan was my cousin and special friend. I'm sorry I wasn't able to chat with you before you passed. I have special memories which I will keep close to my heart ❤️ it was great to have first met you in person just before Neil and I married while visiting America/ sister Maxine. It was quite an honour to have you and Fred attend our wedding . And when you visited us here in NZ 2010. You will be missed.much love 💕 Lynette, Neil and the boys 🎶
