Denise was born on June 30, 1961, in Penn Yan, NY. She was the daughter of Jack and Anna Mae (Jensen) Johncox. She was a graduate of Marcus Whitman School, Class of 1980. Denise was an avid sports buff. She loved her NY Giants. She played multiple sports in high school, including basketball, softball and volleyball. She was the yearbook photographer in her junior and senior years, where she developed her love for photography. Denise could see the beauty in everything, and it showed in her photos. She was the kindest, most caring and giving soul that walked this earth. Never thought of herself, only how she could help others. She had a way of making people smile. She will be remembered for the person she was and for what she stood for in her lifetime. She loved Halloween and Christmas, and let’s not forget her famous “Blue Whale Parties” and her favorite quote of “Game-On.”

Denise is survived by her mother, Anna Johncox; a very special Aunt, Joan-Jensen Colf, siblings, Debra (Keith) VanGelder, Dawn (Wanda) Jonhcox-Martinez, Doug Johncox and Diana Johncox; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.

Denny was predeceased by her father, Jack Johncox, a brother, Donald Johncox, a niece, Jilisa Johncox and a nephew, Jordyn Johncox.
