Obituary
Geneva- In Loving Memory of Jeffeory Troy, Dec. 6, 1967 – Oct. 9, 2026
Forever a Father. Forever Loved. Never Forgotten.
Jeffeory Troy was a man of many passions, talents, and dreams, but above all else, he was a man who carried a love in his heart that time and distance could never erase.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 19, at 1 p.m. at Brookside Cemetery, Snell Road, Geneva.
An avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Boston Red Sox, Jeff also cherished Marilyn Monroe and Madonna, found comfort in writing, and expressed his creativity through cooking. Having spent many years running kitchens and creating his own recipes, he shared his talents with others, leaving behind memories as unique as the dishes he created. He was also a devoted animal lover, and his beloved cat, Misty, was a constant source of companionship and comfort through some of life’s darkest moments, reminding him of the quiet, healing power of unconditional love.
But Jeff’s greatest love was always his daughters, Brittany Rose and Heather Troy. Though life brought years of distance and heartache, he never stopped carrying them in his heart. He longed for the chance to reconnect, to see them again, and to let them know that no matter how much time had passed, they would always be his girls. His love for them remained an unfinished chapter of his life, a hope he held close until the very end.
In addition to his daughters, Jeff is survived by his niece, Monica Stey.
Jeff was predeceased by his parents, David Leonard Troy and Linda Sue Troy (Batease), and his sister, Laurie Marie Casler (Troy).
As we remember Jeff, may we honor not only the life he lived, but also the love he carried, the dreams he held, and the hope that remained within him. May he finally find the peace he searched for and rest in the loving arms of the God in whom he believed.
To Brittany Rose and Heather, may you someday find comfort in knowing that your father never stopped loving you. You were always a part of his heart, his story, and his deepest hopes.
Rest peacefully, Jeff. May the Cowboys and Red Sox always have a fan in heaven. May your memory live on through the meals you created, the words you wrote, the lives you touched, and the love you leave behind.
Some dreams remain unfinished, and some goodbyes come far too soon. But love is not measured by time or distance, and it does not end when life does. A father’s love leaves a mark that never truly fades.
You were loved, you will be missed, and you will never be forgotten.
“Trust in God with all your heart, And don’t lean on your own understanding. In al the ways acknowledge Him, And he will direct your paths” Proverbs 3:5-6
