Jimmy was born on February 27, 1963 in Sodus, NY to the late Bradley and Rose Simpson Gage. For more than 20 years, Jimmy worked as a roofer at Proctor Enterprises where he earned the respect of everyone who worked alongside him. In all those years, not a single complaint could be said about Jimmy’s character. He showed up, worked hard and treated people right. His presence in the shop will be deeply missed, as it simply won’t be the same without him.
Jimmy was an avid sports fan, proudly cheering on the Buffalo Bills and the Detroit Tigers. He also never shied away from a friendly gamble, especially when it came to horse racing. Jimmy was known for his familiar says like “BeeBop” and “You Betchya”. He had a way of leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Jimmy is survived by his siblings, Harold Gage, Debbie Capone, Dennis (Donna) Gage, Sharon (Keith) Martin, Karen Schenk, Dawn Lippincott, Hope Gage and William (Charity) Chrysler.
Jimmy was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Jon and Richard Gage and his sister, Robin Gage.
He will be terribly missed by his family, friends and coworkers, but his memory, humor and work ethic will never be forgotten.

I remember Jimmy when he was called Tex. He lived on Elis place in canandaigua NY. He was a great guy he was funny and he was very polite and loved to be around family and friends. He would come over and drink with my parents Bonnie and Tom. I will miss seeing him around. I am sorry for your loss. I know what it is to lose someone as I lost both of my parents two years ago.

I’ve been delivering roofing to Jimmy for the last 30+ years and he was always a fantastic guy who did his best to help with any situation. I not only thought of Jim as a customer but also a good friend. I am going to miss his awesome personality and just talking about old times . Jimmy was definitely one of the good guys that are disappearing. I will miss you Jimmy
