Obituary
Rushville-Francis L. “Frank” Williams, age 71, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 30 from 4-6 p.m. at the Perkins-Ames Funeral Home in Gorham. A private burial will take place in the spring in Rushville Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Frank’s name can be made to the Happy Hearts Workshop, 2751 State Route 364, Penn Yan, NY 14527.
Frank was born in Geneva General Hospital on January 15, 1955 to the late Nelson and Lily Williams. He was a graduate of Marcus Whitman School District, Class of 1974. Frank worked area job’s for several years before moving to South Carolina and worked there until his health declined. When Frank moved back to the Rushville area he helped with Little League and later Coached. Most recently he spent a lot of time driving for the Mennonite community.
Frank is survived by his sisters, Anna Simmons, Lucy (Donald) Case, Mary (Jerry) Lazarus, Elise Hood; niece, Amber (Scott) Mack as well as several other nieces and nephews.
Frank was predeceased by his parents; brother, Leland Knuppenburg; brothers-in-law, Wilson Simmons and Bill Hood; and half sister, Nancy Pollot.

I got to know Frank from our baseball teams. He was very knowledgeable and hard working as a ball player. I truly enjoyed getting to know him through those shared experiences. My thoughts and prayers are with the family for his loss.
