Obituary
Stanley- Leslie “Les” Sidney Wilson, age 81, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at the Keuka Comfort Care Home.
Friends and family may call on Wednesday, July 16, from 4- 6 p.m. at the Perkins-Ames Funeral Home in Gorham and again on Thursday, July 17, from noon until 1 p.m. at the Gorham United Methodist Church. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Gorham Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Les’ name can be made to the Gorham United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 225, Gorham, NY 14461 or to the Stanley-Hall-Gorham Ambulance, P.O. Box 57, Hall, NY 14463.
Les was born on September 1, 1943, a son of the late Lynn E. and Veneta Wilson. He was employed for over 20 years as a machine operator at Gould Pumps in Seneca Falls and has spent the last 20 years working at the Seneca Transfer Station. Les was a long-time member of the Gorham Methodist Church where he served as head trustee. He was also Fire Commissioner for the Stanley Fire Department.
Les is survived by his wife, Harlene Power Wilson; daughters, Dianna (Rod Carson) Snyder and Kimberly (Scott) Sanford as well as several siblings; sister-in-law, Carolyn (the late Richard) Jones; brother-in-law, Harold (the late Lori Hicks) Power; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Les was predeceased by his parents and several siblings.
