Obituary
Rushville- Diane Francis Couillard, age 77, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025.
Friends may call on Tuesday, January 21 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Perkins-Ames Funeral Home in Gorham. A Funeral Service will follow calling hours at 1 p.m.. Burial will be in Shuman Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Diane’s name can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 435 E. Henrietta Rd., Rochester, NY 14620.
Diane was born on January 4, 1948, a daughter of the late Arthur and Honeretta Borken Becker. She attended FLCC where she obtained her Associates Degree, Keuka College for her Bachelors Degree and finally onto Syracuse University where she received her Masters Degree. Diane obtained all of her degrees while she was raising her children. She retired from the Wayne County Jail as a social worker.
Diane is survived by her children, Edward (Juli) Dodge, Clifford (Alice) Dodge, Jason (Dana) Dodge, Renee (Ken) Boyer, Christopher (Erin) Couillard, Joe (Kathleen) Couillard, Mike Couillard and John (Hazelle) Couillard; many grandchildren including, Justin, Zachary and Vex Boyer; as well as several great-grandchildren.
Diane was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Joseph Couillard; son, Spencer Dodge; and her brother, Rev. Arthur Becker.
Diane will be remembered as someone you could always count on for advice, support and generosity. She was, in every aspect, everyone’s mom.
In honoring her memory, we are reminded to live as she did- with joy, compassion and an open heart.
