Obituary
Geneva-Pauline Mae Irwin, It is with much sadness the family of Pauline Mae Irwin, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, announces her passing on July 9, 2024.
As per Pauline’s wishes, there will be no formal calling hours or funeral services. A memorial service for Pauline and her husband Clifford will be held on Friday, July 19 at 1 p.m. at New York State Veterans Cemetery-Finger Lakes, Formally Sampson, in Romulus, NY. Family and friends wishing to attend this service are welcome.
In lieu of flowers, if desired, please feel free to make a donation to the NY State Veterans Cemetery-Finger Lakes, 6632 State Route 96A, Ovid, NY 14521 in Pauline and Clifford Irwin’s memory.
In retirement, Pauline and her husband Clifford enjoyed travel and would often spend New York winters in Florida or Arizona. She and her husband were also motorcycle enthusiasts and long-time members of a motorcycle club named the Retreads. She continued friendships with other surviving members regularly meeting for luncheons until her passing. She crocheted as a hobby but most of all Pauline liked playing penny slots at various locations with frequent success.
Pauline is survived by her son, Jack (Priscilla) Shoemaker; stepchildren, Clifford (Patricia) Irwin, Jr. and Cheryl Mann; eight Grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; very special long time friends, Doris and Willie and family and recent special friend, Kim.
Pauline is predeceased by two daughters and one son.
