Andy was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time at home with his two cats. He was a very good cook and had worked at several local restaurants. For the last eleven years, he was the cook at the Finger Lakes Addictions & Counseling Referral Agency (FLACRA) in Clifton Springs, NY, where he received the James Otte Memorial Employee of the Year Award on August 23, 2012. He was a strong positive voice for many at FLACRA and strived to improve not only his own life, but the lives of others. Andy was very good in construction, too, and not one to sit still, he worked in his free time for McCann Enterprises for his long time friend Shawn McCann.

Andy is survived by his mother, June Colf; brother, Gerald Colf of Geneva; and sisters Donna (Arthur) Peck of Breesport, Pamela (David) Christensen of Penn Yan, NY, and Patricia Miles and Kim Benedict both of Bath, NY; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Donald Colf.
